Joint Urban Ministry Project is our community out-reach program where we supply razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes to local folks in need. The church also tithes monthly providing financial assistance to the JUMP clientele. Carol Chase, facilitor.
JUMP supports people in Chittenden County who are in immediate need of assistance. This includes food, diapers, personal and household items plus emergency financial assistance for gas, medicine, and clothing. Assistance is given through vouchers to services so no actual "moneys" change hands. Our small but critical job at Unity is to supply JUMP with the following: toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving cream, and razors. Clients are so grateful and usually take only what they need…It’s always hard to say, "I’m sorry, we don’t have that today"…So, donate these items – bring ‘em on – or give a dollar and we’ll get it for you! It is an abundant Universe…We are abundance!!
